Cornerstone Rite

The Sacred Rite of the Laying of a Cornerstone | November 25, 2025

On November 25, we gathered with Bishop Deshotel, priests, seminarians of our diocese, UL students and administration, parishioners, and benefactors to celebrate an important milestone in the construction of the new Our Lady of Wisdom Church & Catholic Student Center: The Sacred Rite of the Laying of the Cornerstone. 

Now we celebrate another milestone in our Campaign: $30 million raised!

Our new Church and Student Center will continue the legacy of Our Lady of Wisdom offering students a home away from home, and furthering Our Mission: To Form Lifelong Disciples of Jesus Christ. We entrust this project to Mary, Seat of Wisdom; St. Joseph; and St. John Henry Newman, asking for their intercession as this sacred space rises.
