Notes From the Campaign Trail … By Mary Hernandez
If you haven’t driven by campus in the last month, do yourself a favor and take a leisurely Sunday drive this weekend or pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the view from Girard Park.
You’ll want to be among the few who can tell their children and grandchildren, “I remember when…” The structural steel framing is set to conclude on October 6, 2025 - so you don’t have long to see it from this unique perspective. Completion of this phase of construction is a major milestone for LEMOINE’s construction crew, which they will soon celebrate alongside UL students at a “Topping Out Ceremony,” where the last piece of steel is flown into place.
At the same time, the fundraising thermometer is nearing the 30 million dollar mark. With a total project budget of 35 million dollars, our Advancement team is looking to secure the final 15% percent of funding. To become a part of making history and make your gift in support of this lasting legacy on campus, please reach out to me.
The Student Center is just as busy as the construction site, so if you are a college student, our existing doors are open to you! Stop by for quiet prayer, Mass, coffee, study space, new friends, and to get involved in one of our 50+ small groups and Bible studies. We can’t wait to meet you.
